Dear Pleasant Valley Parents and Students:

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday season.  With the start of a new quarter, it is important to be focused on getting off to a strong start.  A strong start would include being organized, responsible, and making school a priority.  Remember, Tuesdays and Thursdays during Elective is Study Hall time.  This is a great opportunity to complete work, stay on top of projects, and study for tests.  Also, the library is open Wednesdays for the students to have access to computers, books, or work on assignments.  In addition, I open the computer lab during lunch on various days; this is another opportunity for students to get extra help, finish up assignments, or get ahead.  Eighth graders will have the opportunity to hear from counselors from the high schools in January.  This meeting is for students to hear about the classes required in high school and to get registration materials for next school year.  There will also be parent nights at each high school where parents can hear the same information. It is important that eighth graders remember to keep working hard for the remainder of the year to be prepared for the classes selected.  Every minute counts!!!  As always, I ask that students give their best effort each and every day.  Being committed to excellence will bring success!  Thank you for doing your part to make each day a great day to be at PV!  And remember – “GO TIMBERWOLVES!”

Sincerely,
